Cat sitting is a difficult job, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's a difficult job when things are normal, without even talking about the crazy cases. The cat might not like their sitter and be as much of a hooligan as pawssible during. The cat owners might leave elaborate instructions for their cat sitters, with rules about every little detail that yes, they will expect you to follow. And of course, there are the cray cases, like when the cat owner accuses their cat sitter of bonding with their cat too much and demand the sitter take their cat to therapy. Yes, that has happened.

So, really, there is no reason to make things more difficult than they already are for your cat sitter. There's just not. It's only polite to tell your cat sitter if you are going to be twenty minutes late to bringing your cat beforehand, and not after twenty minutes of standing them up and making them wait.

Have you ever wondered what your cat does during the day when you're not home, when you're not looking? When your cat goes outside for a few hours and comes back like nothing happened at all? We wonder. All the time. We wonder if our cat has other cat friends outside. We wonder if our cat goes to visit the neighbors and gets treats, and that is why he's gaining weight all the time. We wonder what kind of adventures our cat has, because, no matter how much our cats pretend that nothing happened when they come back home, we know, in our guts, that something did.

We have come to accept that we will simply never know, that we will have to live with the curiosity. But not this cat owner. This man, who is a documentary filmmaker, decided to do what we have wanted to do for years. He put a camera on his cat, and the things that he has seen his cat do… Yeah, we knew they were having adventures out there.

Me: "What kind of oil did you put in here?"
Driver: "Oh, I didn't have any, so I filled it up from that thing over there."
Me: "The thing… the what thing?"
The driver indicates the combination air hose/wiper fluid machine, which has a big sign on it that says 'WATER'.

Nurse: "You've gained a lot of weight."
I thought she was joking, so I laughed and said no, it's the reverse. She shook her head and stared at me.
Nurse: "Sir, the medical records don't lie, you've gained over fifty pounds since your last exam!"

I only said it because you could absolutely tell he was in no hurry and had ten employees just standing around waiting to turn the lights off, so no more customers would try coming in.
Customer: *Gets mad immediately.* "Really? It’s not like it’s 6:15?! You’re gonna do this over a sale?"

"How many Lowe's employees does it take to get a kitten out of a pallet of dirt?"

That's the question a Lowe's employee posed in r/CatDistributionSystem on Reddit. When you least expect it, the CDS comes to play, full force, waiting for the next willing purrson to fall victim to the cute cats of the streets. Sometimes, they might be in your car engine. Other times, they'll waltz up to your front porch and sploot down outside your window until you break down and let them in for some cuddles. Even at the most inconvenient of times, cats will find their way to you, and then to your heart. Can you blame them? All they're looking for is a pawrent who will give them the life they deserve!

The Lowe's employee in this next story explains that it took five employees, not including her mother and a tin can of tuna, to coax a pawdorable tabby kitten she found out of a pallet of dirt as she was watering the store's plants. Later named "Dirt," the tabby put up one good fight, but they were no match for the Lowe's employees who could. Scroll below to read the full story and see photos of the rescue in action!

Hey there, almost-30 crowd. Millennials who remember dial-up but also know what TikTok is. People who now groan as they're sitting down. You've made it this far. And honestly? That deserves a gold star, a nap, and probably a cat or two curled on your lap for emeowtional support.

Adulting is weird. One moment you're buying a rug and feeling proud, the next you're crying because someone finished your oat milk. But through it all, one thing has stayed constant: cats. Their little bleps. Their dramatic stares. Their chaotic 3 AM zoomies. Their refusal to respect personal space (but only when you're busy).

These wholesome cat memes are like a fuzzy little blanket for your soul. They're here to remind you that even if your back hurts for no reason, even if your inbox has 87 unread emails, and even if your dinner is just vibes and cereal... you're doing okay. So take a break, breathe deep, and scroll through these almost-30-approved feline funnies. It's not a hug from your childhood cat, but it's pretty darn close.

Purrsonally, we understand the desire to help every cat you meet. It's something instinctual in us. We see a cat on the street and we are swept up by the urge to take them home, feed them some tuna, and teach them to snuggle. However, not every cat needs saving, despite how they may look on the outside. Some cats have a pawsitively enjoyable neighborhood life, with one main family and several side-families that feed them, love them, and house them. You might be surprised how common it is for a cat to have multiple families.

So, when the cat lover in this post wrote about how she wanted to save this cat from a life outside, we get it. However, she goes on to say that the cat is clean and well-cared for, so at what point does she need to convince herself that she's not actually saving the cat, but stealing it? We'll leave it to you to find out what happens in the end, but let's just say that everyone gets a purrfectly happy ending!
