I'm spending most of my time on Dreamwidth these days, only occasionally popping back to IJ. So I'm going to tidy up my IJ flist (with filters, no defriending). Please could you comment and let me know where you would prefer me to read your posts, DW or IJ. And I have a heap of DW invites if anyone else wants to come play on DW, and I'm [personal profile] queenbarwench for IJ readers.

I have seven tabs open with fic waiting to be read. They're all wordcount 15,000+ epic monstrosities that I really don't have the energy to start reading right now. I'm thinking maybe some Dollhouse instead.

I've had a week of hormones followed by a week of weather-induced headaches (stupid humidity) so I have been in Lurk mode. So, some stuff... )

The truly awesome [insanejournal.com profile] lilithilien bought me paid time on Dreamwidth! *hugs her mightily* I now have to organise all my icons on IJ so that I can then port them to DW. And there will also be polls... But not today, I think.

Today, I am going to wear a sundress for the first time in two years (\o/ we actually have sunshine) and I'm going to make brownies. After lunch I shall go into town to meet Claire, who is up from London for a funeral :( but I'm still glad I get to see her. Then Paz and I have to empty our wardrobes onto plastic sheeting, dismantle the bed and set the mattress on another sheet. The new carpet is being fitted tomorrow! Am very excited *bounces* And tonight there will be Neverwinter Nights, and "Sneak Attack, bitch!" Or maybe some Smite Evil, depending on which server we play on.

Huge thanks to [info]enchanted-jae who wrote me a birthday SGA drabble, her first foray in the fandom. She is made of win!

Also, I have been on IJ for well over a year now, but I have yet to learn how to do that thing where the LJ blue username icon shows up instead of the orange IJ one. Anyone want to help (lazy) me out and tell me how?
queenbarwench: (epilogue)
Hello to all my new friends from the [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_flies Friending Frenzy! *waves*

Just to be contrary, I'm reccing a fic on LJ to everyone: Nineteen Years Later was [livejournal.com profile] softly_sweetly's first reaction to the Epilogue of Dhoom. She's not terribly happy with it, so get over there, read it and give her some love!

I'm catching up on my posting this evening.

Firstly, I'd like to thank [livejournal.com profile] silver_etoile for a) writing such great fics (find them here), b) for letting me know that AdultFanFiction is back up and running and c) for reminding me about her recs list, which is rather extensive. Thank you! *hugs*

So, one from aforementioned list: Seamus is Seamus and You are Yourself by Ari Munami. 17 chapters of entertainment and amusement. Only rated Pg-13, so a tragic lack of smut, but the story (and a good imagination) makes up for that.

Summary thus: Harry goes through some er... changes in his Sixth Year and everyone, including Draco Malfoy, sits up and takes notice.

Also this one-shot from the same author. Highly giggle-worthy.
