Star Trek 90210 FTW!

queenbarwenchI saw Star Trek last night and loved it! Paz was somewhat less impressed than me; says it wasn't proper Trek. This did not stop me grinning like an idiot all the way from leaving the cinema until I fell asleep.
Some things that have to be mentioned:
I'll be leaving the house shortly to meet my mother for lunch. I'm wondering if I can talk her into the 2:15 showing at the Gate. I'm supposed to have used the morning to scour websites for jobs. In truth, I'm getting rather sick of the jobseeking without the finding. Recession, I am bored of you and would like you now to be over!
I don't think Recession is listening to me.

- Tearjerker opening scene! *sob*
- Awesome graphics!
- I loved the industrial look of engineering.
- Karl Urban = Made Of Win!
- Zachary Quinto *sigh*
- Scotty - too funny for words.
- Spock snogging Uhura? WTF?!?!
- Although the bit on the transporter pad was amusing.
- I liked the 'alternate reality' explanation for why they can now happily ignore canon.
- Spock Senior! I wanted to hug him.
